KINSHIP began in the 1980’s with the aim of being an avenue through which stateside CLC members could help primarily with the physical and material needs of the orphan children among our sister church body, the CLCI in India. This original aim was reflected in the acronym chosen for the name of this project and committee: KINSHIP, which stands for Kids In Need—Source of Help for India’s Poor. By the Lord’s grace and guidance KINSHIP has expanded greatly. Kinship currently provides/can provide aid for:
For over three decades, KINSHIP has provided help through our foreign fields to those in need. From essentials and education that help someone get by, to rebuilding a community after a natural disaster, your support helps sustain our brothers and sisters overseas. More important than providing material needs, what you give instills hope and shines a light toward our Father in heaven.
If you would like to make an online donation to Kinship, click here. Here are the different ways we use offerings:
You can give offerings directly to Project KINSHIP through your local congregation simply by designating your offering to “KINSHIP.” The committee uses the KINSHIP general fund to support various projects overseas.
CLC members also have the opportunity to help individuals directly through Direct Sponsorships. For as little as $20-50 per month you can provide for the basic needs of a child, seminary student, or widow.
Group Sponsorships are also available. If you contribute to a Group Sponsorship, your donation would help support a school or group of orphans rather than any one individual.
If you have any questions or would like to contribute offline, please contact Pastor Sam Rodebaugh at (414) 534-7279 or KINSHIP [at] CLCLutheran [dot] com
