Missionary Ohlmann visited for three weeks. The first week he attended and hosted the West Africa CLC Pastoral Conference (WACLCPC) held at Grace Lutheran Church of the NCLC in Apa, Nigeria. There were over thirty pastors in attendance from CLC affiliated church bodies and contacts in Liberia, Ghana, Togo, Benin, and Nigeria. The theme for the WACLCPC was “The One Thing Needed…God’s Word is Sufficient”

Following the conference meetings were held with the various boards of the NCLC.

The Nigerian Children’s Home was closed and plans were discussed to reopen the Children’s Home under the direct leadership of the NCLC. A new committee was appointed to look into developing new guidelines and policies for the care of orphaned children.
