ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR OF 2009-2010 OF BEREA EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH/BELC DISTRICTS OF VANIYAMBADI AND UTHUKOTTAI OF TAMILNADU STATE, INDIA
District of Uthukottai
31 pastors have been doing gospel ministry in 37 congregations. They are conducting Sunday worship services, Sunday Schools, youth and women fellowship. All churches conduct mid-day services regularly on week days and evening Bible study and Martin Luther’s small catechism takes place. The last day of each month the pastors conduct all night prayers and fasting prayers.
31 pastors attend bible classes monthly. Pastor T. Sampath and Pastor D.Paul give papers on “My Church and Others”, small catechism, leaflets, parables and meanings.
Pastor T. Sampath visits each church twice a month and conducts communion services and baptism services.
We have disbursed 2500 Tamil small catechisms and 250 Tamil Bibles.
We have constructed 6 church buildings in the Uthukottai district.
We desire to build more church buildings.
Children’s Ministry
We have been conducting Sunday Schools after the worship services. 1440 children were taught scripture in Sunday Schools.
The VBS classes have been held each year in the month of May. 1570 students were enrolled this year and were taught Scripture
We distributed prizes and gifts to the VBS and Sunday School children at Christmas and on the final day of VBS.
Gospel team work
Here in the Uthukottai district we have arranged a special gospel team headed by the chairman of the district. Each Saturday evening the senior pastors of the district visit one church and the believers house and pray for the sick and give tracts and the Gospel of John to them.
District of Vaniyambadi
There are around 28 pastors in this district. 25 men are on a waiting list.
We conduct Bible classes twice a month at Vaniyambadi. Pastor T. Sampath has been teaching the leaf letters, My Church and others, Martin Luther’s Small catechism and the doctrinal position of BELC.
Children’s Ministry
We conduct Sunday Schools and VBS classes. 1580 children in VBS and 554 children in Sunday School were taught Scripture. .
We disbursed 200 Bibles and 2500 Tamil small catechisms and the Gospel of John.
Church Buildings
We have constructed five church buildings and want to construct more.
May God bless us according to His will and guidance.
We have great opportunity to preach and teach the word of God and the doctrine of Lutheran. God gave us many opportunity’s to save the souls from their sin. The people are hearing the Word of God with great zeal.
The BELC pastors in these districts conduct special baptism services on 31st December and New Years Eve. Many people were baptized with the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

- Rightly handling the Word of God, we believe(Acts 17:12), study (Acts. 17:11), test (1 Jn. 4:1), spread (Lk. 24:47). Our exciting task is to declare the wonderful deeds of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

C.L.C CHURCHES REPORTS

in spreading His word . CLC started in Kisii in the year 2000 with the first Missionary David Koenig .

THE FIRST CHURCH CONSTRUCTION
During our studies with pastor Koenig the first church was started in Etago and was constructed in the year 2002 . As this progress was on other sister churches were also started . Here are the churches that were started and their figures ;

THE ORPHANAGE SCHOOL
Due to this epidermic of HIV Missionary Koenig and the CLC members show the need to have an orphanage school to assist those CLC orphans who are not privileged to get education . Through the help of the mission board , Kinship group has managed to construct 8 classes . The school is being run by the church and there are 10 teachers who train these children spiritually and academically .
THE SERVICE
For these 8 churches in Kisii District , they are led by 3 Pastors ;

2 . Pastor Fred Ogendo
3 . Pastor Joseph Nyaribo
Also we have other Laymen who are devoted to assist in our sister churches for effectiveness of God’s mission . For this work to reach all this level the CLC mission has done a lot in providing with Bibles, Lutheran Spokesmen, catechisms and many other books related to study God’s Word .
Because there are many people interested to study God’s work we decided under the guidance of the mission board to start a theological seminary in order to equip our men with God’s word . The school runs one week every month and up to now we have 10 students undertaking the studies and three teachers .
FUTURE PROSPECTS
We ask God to guide us in His word so that we have many CLC churches in order for people to know God’s truth through the Bible , also to train enough young men who will be ready to go out for the ministry of God .
