KINSHIP began in the 1980’s with the aim of being an avenue through which stateside CLC members could help primarily with the physical and material needs of the orphan children among our sister church body, the CLCI in India. This original aim was reflected in the acronym chosen for the name of this project and committee: KINSHIP, which stands for Kids In Need—Source of Help for India’s Poor. By the Lord’s grace and guidance KINSHIP has expanded greatly. Kinship currently provides/can provide aid for:
- Orphans–not just in India, but also in Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Congo, Togo, Nepal, and most recently, in Myanmar.
- Adult men attending our seminaries and Bible schools.
- Widows of indigenous pastors.
- Medical assistance.
- Storm and disaster relief.
For over three decades, KINSHIP has provided help through our foreign fields to those in need. From essentials and education that help someone get by, to rebuilding a community after a natural disaster, your support helps sustain our brothers and sisters overseas. More important than providing material needs, what you give instills hope and shines a light toward our Father in heaven.
